Evolution Hotel seminar!

Evolution Hotel just hosted a posing seminar at Energym. We put together a little clip for you to see how to do your quarter turns correctly. Seven athletes took part in our posing seminar. In the following days, you will be able to watch new videos of how the athletes experienced our seminar and what they learned.

On Saturday the 22nd, Evolution Hotel was the host of a posing seminar at Energym. Seven great athletes met for a fun & educational afternoon under guidance of IFBB Pro Helle Nielsen. At the seminar the athletes learned:

  • Proper quarter turn technique.
  • How to set the compulsory poses in the most pleasing way.
  • Walk the walk like a winner!
  • Overall presentation for the best results.

More than anything our sport is a lot about presentation and it cannot be rehearsed enough. Confidence on stage does not always come naturally, but through practice, practice & practice. Don’t forget to practice! :-)

Competition checklist!

Make sure to print out our checklist early and go through it in case there are items you need buy.

Whether you are a first time competitor or a seasoned athlete, it comes in handy to have a packing list ready what to bring on competition day. I’ve made a list with some items which you definitely will need.

You can choose from the list what fits your needs in your division. It’s a good idea to print out the list and check every item as you pack. Make sure to print it out early and go through it in case there are items you need buy. Read our competition checklist!

The 30-year anniversary of the Danish Nationals!

Danish Nationals 2009

The Danish Nationals 2009 will be the 30-year anniversary of this competition!

The Danish Nationals on the 5th & 6th of September will be a blast of a show! It’s the 30-year anniversary of this competition and a lot of athletes will be competing at this event.

Today its exactly 3 weeks until the Danish Nationals will be staged in Ringsted. Evolution Hotel has 8 athletes competing in various divisions: Women’s bodybuilding, Men’s bodybuilding, Men’s Classic bodybuilding, Body Fitness (figure) as well as Athletic Fitness. The final weeks are tough for the competitors. This is the time where the last energy reserves will be spent. The food plans are plain, the willpower will be challenged and every bit of dedication comes into work.

Helle Nielsen at the Ladies Circle

Helle did a seminar on bodybuilding respectively body-sculpting at the Ladies Cirlcle.

Recently I was invited to talk about bodybuilding, or body-sculpting as I prefer to call it, at a newly started ladies club, which is part of the organization Ladies Circle. I attended one of their meetings and met 25 fabulous women!

They came from very diverse backgrounds and jobs; ceo’s, company owners, politically involved and employees had made the trip to my seminar. Some of them were very active with sports and some were new to exercise. But they all shared one thing in common: They had very little knowledge about bodybuilding (body-sculpting) and the benefits of the sport.

Another thing I came to think of, which they shared in common was that what they did know about the sport was all the common media inflicted prejudices. Now it was my turn to tell them the real truth about bodybuilding (body-sculpting) – what a fabulous and beneficial sport it is. If I told you I have the formula that can keep you young and strong for many years. That I have an anti-aging pill that really works! It will not only make you look younger, it will also make you feel younger, slimmer and more energized! Would you like to purchase it? I bet you would! Today is your lucky day because today I will tell you about my secret formula! This anti-aging and firming pill is bodybuilding or body-sculpting as I like to call it.

  • Why are bodybuilders so tanned on stage?
  • Can everybody become a bodybuilder?
  • Do you get fat after you stop the sport?
  • How do you loose weight effectively?
  • What do you need to eat to build muscle and loose weight?
  • Is sodium bad for you?
  • Do bodybuilders eat ice cream?

New Evolution Hotel athlete!

Meet our newest evolutionhotel athlete René Lindrup! He will be competing in Athletic Fitness at the Danish Nationals, 2009-September-06.

The athletes in Athletic fitness have to show a defined athletic physique in combination with strength, endurance and fitness. It consists of a symmetry round, A chin-up and bar dip round (competitor with the most repetitions wins the round.) and finally Rene’ will be rowing 500 metres / 0.3106 miles on a rowing ergometer, which will be timed (fastest time wins the round).

Two years ago, René made his stage debut at this very competition, where he placed out of the finals. He took two years off from competing to work on adding mass and more quality to his physique. This year we will see a new and improved René, who will be very competitive. René is an extremely talented athlete who has a bright future in the sport.
