What do you currently do for a living?
I work as a chef.
How did you get involved with the sport?
I have been working out most of my life to stay in shape , but 5 years ago I got really serious about it. When I started seeing the results of the hard training, it made me hungry for more. I wanted to try out competitions, and I’ve always loved watching fitness and bodybuilding programs on TV. It inspired me to compete.

What’s your favorite thing and/or routine you enjoy when training for a competition?
I love the excitement and anticipation I experience during the prep right from when I’ve made the decision to compete till I am standing on stage ready to shine. I love seeing how my body transforms during the process. The feeling I have when I’m standing on stage and the adrenalin is pumping is a great feeling as well!.
What do you like the least when training for a competition?
The cardio!

What is a day-in-the-life of Karina like?
It’s not all that exciting! LOL. I go to work early in the morning. I’m usually back home again around 1pm. Then I relax for a couple of hours before I leave for the gym. I work out about 1 ½-2 hours where I hit it really hard. Then I drive home and cook dinner and food for the next day. Usually watch a bit of tv in the evening and 10pm is bedtime.
During the weekends I spend time with my daughter and my boyfriend. Sometimes we travel to a bodybuilding/fitness event or make a day trip to Sweden.
What do you consider your best feature?
I'm very outgoing and easy to get along with.
Do you have a favorite lift or exercise?
